Serradura Recipe
A classic Portuguese dessert made with only three ingredients!
DIFFICULTY: LOW
PREPARATION: 30 MINUTES
SERVINGS: 6
INGREDIENTS
- 1x Bolacha Maria Cookies by Moaçor
- 2x Mimosa Natas Cremosa (heavy whipping cream)
- 1x Nestle Moça Leite Condensado (sweetened condensed milk)
PREPARATION
- Crush the Maria biscuits (This is the “sawdust” that gives Serradura its name.)
- Whip the cream. Using a mixer, beat the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks.
- Add the condensed milk. Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk until fully incorporated into the whipped cream. The mixture should be light, smooth, and creamy.
- Assemble the dessert. In serving cups or a large dish, layer alternating spoonfuls of Maria biscuit crumbs and Cream mixture. Repeat until you reach the top, finishing with a layer of crumbs.
- Chill. Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is even better).
