Halloween Spider Cookies
25 min. | Easy | Makes 40 cookies
Ingredients
225 g butter
225 g sugar
170 g condensed milk topping
55 g cocoa powder
300 g flour
200 g dulce de leche (cooked condensed milk)
100 g chocolate
100 g black licorice laces
60 g white chocolate buttons
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, mix the butter, sugar, and condensed milk topping until light and fluffy. Stir in the flour and cocoa powder, then add to the butter mixture to form a soft dough.
- Roll the dough into a log about 3 to 4 cm thick. Freeze for 15 minutes, then slice into rounds about half a centimeter thick. Place on lined baking trays with enough space between them as they will spread. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Cut the licorice laces into 2 cm pieces. Melt the chocolate and stir into the dulce de leche. Mix well and let cool slightly. Once the cookies have cooled, spread a thin layer of the chocolate caramel topping on the base of each one. Sandwich two together and press in 8 licorice legs. Use the remaining topping to stick on white chocolate button eyes and decorate.
